Official Latino Comics Expo 2012 poster

THE LATINO COMICS EXPO in 2012 once again to the world famous CARTOON ART MUSEUM in San Francisco, CA on May 5 & 6. Here is the official poster for the event:

The poster is illustrated and designed by cartoonist JOSE CABRERA, who will be joining us once again at the Expo. In Mid-March we'll have a limited number of these posters available for purchase, signed & numbered by Jose Cabrera.

Special thanks to HERITAGE AUCTIONS for their generous offer of printing up our run of posters, postcards and event brochure.

Like last year's inaugural event, this year's Expo will feature an exhibitor's gallery with the creators selling their works, and a line-up of panels and presentations. What's special this year is another first: The Cartoon Art Museum will be hosting an historic art exhibit celebrating the work of Latino creators and works reflecting Latino culture. LA RAZA COMICA: A Celebration of the Latino American Experience in the Comic Arts will have it's Opening Reception on Friday, May 4, from 7-9pm. The exhibit will run through September 2, 2012.

We'll be posting the full list of attending exhibitors and guests for the Expo and Art Exhibit on this site in the coming weeks.

Confirmed artists include:
Jaime Crespo (Tortilla), Crystal Gonzalez (In The Dark), Anthony Oropeza (Amigo Man), Liz Mayorga (Spunky Cat Comix), Hector Cantu (Baldo), Rafael Navarro (Sonambulo), Gabrielle Gamboa (Miss Lonely Hearts), Grasiela Rodriguez (Spadra), Richard Dominguez (El Gato Negro), Jose Cabrera (Crying Macho Man), Javier Hernandez (El Muerto), Octavio Rodriguez (Ciudad), Adriana Garcia Cabrera (Aztec of The City) and Mario Hernandez (Love & Rockets).
