Chunky Girl Comics at the 2013 Latino Comics Expo San Francisco

Making their debut appearance as Latino Comics Expo exhibitors, the husband & wife team of Jose and Marisa Garcia bring their Chunky Girl Comics to the Expo.

Marisa, the writer and creative director, states " Our dream is to bring awareness to how bullying and singling out differences effects everyone, not just children. We love to celebrate women, men and children of all sizes and show that despite size and having a little extra padding, we can do all that everyone else can do!”.

Along with their illustrator Grant Miller, Marisa and Jose hope to inspire and entertain with their Heavy Response Unit group of superheroes. They will have comics & prints available for sale. * Please note that they will only be attending the Expo on Sunday, June 2.

Visit Jose & Marisa at the Latino Comics Expo San Francisco, being held once again at the Cartoon Art Museum at 655 Mission St. San Francisco, CA 94105. The Expo runs from 11am-5pm on Saturday & Sunday, June 1 & 2.
