LCX LA: Lalo Alcaraz, AZTEC OF THE CITY, Carlos Avila, Simon Sotelo & Lestat

Appearing at the upcoming LATINO COMICS EXPO LOS ANGELES 2013

Lalo Alcaraz, nationally-syndicated cartoonist and journalist, creator the comic strip LA CUCARACHA. Lalo recently contributed a story to BART SIMPSON COMICS #84 titled "¡Bart Speaks Spanish!".



AZTEC OF THE CITY is a comic created & written by Fernando Rodriguez. Representing Fernando at the Expo will be Elizabeth Torreblanca. Also appearing in person will be another of Fernando's characters: Super Chicano.



Carlos Avila is the award-winning director of TALES OF MASKED MEN, a documentary about the world of Mexican lucha libre. 



Simon Sotelo, illustrator and designer, is one of the organizers of the L.A. Zine Fest. She also co-hosts the Family Dinner podcast at Poobah.Com


Lestat, a professional luchador, has been a 3 time EWA Cruiser Weight Champion, IMW Champion and LLII Tag Team Champion. He's currently producing his own motion comic.


The Latino Comics Expo Los Angeles will be held the weekend of August 17 & 18 at the Museum of Latin American Art. The event runs from 11am-5pm, both days.

In addition to the exhibit hall featuring over 50 cartoonists, writers, illustrators, zine makers, book vendors and more, the Expo will feature 2 days of panels and children's workshops (on Sunday).

MOLAA is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802. Admission to the Museum grants you entry to the Expo.
